The Israeli army has been pounding the besieged Gaza Strip for the sixth consecutive day, killing 31 more Palestinians in fresh attacks.

At least 18 victims of a single Israeli airstrike in northern Gaza were members of the same family.

According to Palestinian sources, Israeli fighter jets have hit nearly 200 targets over the past 24 hours.

At least 166 people have lost their lives and 1100 others were injured in the impoverished region since Tuesday.

The Tel Aviv regime claims that the operation will target the rocket launchers of Palestinian fighters, but reports say civilians have been the main victims of the bombardments.

According to a recent UN report, nearly 80 percent of the victims have been civilians.

Meanwhile, Israeli navy commandos launched a brief incursion into the Gaza coast, facing resistance from the Palestinian fighters.

At least four Israeli soldiers were wounded in the clashes.

And Israeli tanks have lined up along the Gaza border in preparation for a possible widespread ground operation.

The Israeli military has called up thousands of reservists for an all-out invasion of the impoverished territory.

Reports say the residents of the besieged enclave’s north flee their homes in fear of an imminent ground invasion.

Late on Saturday, the Israeli military said it orders Palestinians in northern Gaza to “leave their homes for their own safety.”

Gaza’s Interior Ministry urged residents in the area to ignore Israel’s warnings and to stay in their homes, saying the announcement was Israeli “psychological warfare” and an attempt to create confusion.

Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has warned that it is prepared to hit back at Israeli forces, should the Tel Aviv regime launch a ground attack against Gaza.

How many deaths in Gaza too many for world?

Sun Jul 13, 2014 10:10AM GMT

As Israel’s brutal attacks on Gaza continue, many are wondering how many deaths are too many for the international community to get involved and stop the Israeli violence.

Once again, the Israelis are carrying out a barrage of airstrikes on the densely populated Gaza Strip, and no one knows how many Palestinians will have to die before the West says enough is enough.

The Gaza Strip, which has been the most resistant to these brutal practices of the Tel Aviv regime, bears the brunt of the violence.

If we look at history, the Western community has a terrible record when it comes to standing up to Israeli terrorism. We are talking about 65 years of murder, land confiscation, terror campaigns and the overall oppression of the Palestinian people by the brutal and illegitimate Israeli regime.
