SACP Gauteng Strongly Condemns the Anarchist Conduct of EFF
Economic Freedom Fighters laugh in parliament.
1 July 2014

SACP Gauteng strongly condemns the anarchist conduct of Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) displayed today during the State of the Province debate. EFF members displayed tendencies of an infantile disorder and left-wing childishness by defying the instruction of the Speaker to vacate the Legislature. Speaker of the Legislature ordered EFF members to leave after ruling that their dress code violates rules of the Legislature.

SACP wish to emphasise that the conduct of the EFF represent an extremely backward, lumpen and chaotic tendency of anarchy with a mix of right-wing, populist and demagogic slant. Following the dismal rejection of this clumsy anarchist tendency by the working class and poor, EFF seeks to recover lost ground by undermining institutions and structures for which our people laid down their lives.

SACP wishes to state and emphasise that anarchy and a concocted political outlook, especially of a right-wing slant never ruled any-where in the world. It has been consistently rejected in many parts of the world, including here at home.

SACP welcomes the decisive and swift intervention of the Speaker and the unity displayed by all political parties in the Legislature. SACP is deeply pleased that the session of the Legislature was allowed to proceed without any disruption and with integrity.

SACP calls on its members in the Legislature deployed by the ANC to respect democratic rules of the Legislature. This does not exclude the need to change through proper processes such rules if necessitated by a profound change in the political landscape.

SACP wish to reiterate that there is nothing revolutionary in defying democratic rules of the people, and that any serious revolution should have integrity, decency and virtue and that anarchy Is not anywhere closer to this revolutionary principles.
