MOSCOW, February 15. /TASS/. No interactions between Russian military planes and a US guided missile destroyer took place in the Black Sea last Friday, the Russian Defense Ministry’s official spokesman, Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said.

"On February 10, there were no incidents related to a flyby of Russian military planes near USS Porter destroyer in the Black Sea," he said. "All flights by our planes have been performed above neutral waters of the Black Sea in line with international rules and security regulations."

"If, as the Pentagon spokesman has said, a US destroyer was performing a ‘routine’ patrol mission near the Russian territory, thousands of miles away from its shores, there is nothing surprising about flights by our planes above the Black Sea, which were just as routine" the spokesman added.

Pentagon has earlier claimed that Russian military planes with transponders turned off performed low passes on USS Porter destroyer operating in international waters of the Black Sea.
